World Cocktail Day

In case you need an excuse to treat yourself to a cocktail, here's the perfect one – World Cocktail Day on 13th May. Here at Enotria&Coe we've had plenty of debate about which cocktails should be included on our must-drink list, and after much deliberation we decided to put the question to some of the trendiest bars around town.

 

 

Brazilian Lady - Barrio BarsBrazilian Lady // Barrio Bars

Ingredients

  • Abelha Cachaca
  • Cointreau
  • Passion fruit syrup
  • Lemon juice
  • Egg White

Method 

Shake and strain into Coupette and garnish with half a passion fruit.

 

 

 

Join the Kew // Hush

Hush MayfairWith a recently revamped list, this sprightly tipple – an ode to Kew Gardens – is proving to be a big hit among patrons.

Ingredients

  • 50ml of London N1 gin
  • 20ml of hierba mate tea brewed for 20 minutes
  • 20ml of Liquorice tea brewed for 20 minutes
  • 10ml of rose’s syrup
  • 10ml of lemon juice
  • 15ml chartreuse green

Method

Add all ingredients and shake over a martini glass before garnish with some edible flowers.

 

 

Serotonin Hawthorn Serotonin // Bar Hawthorn

Ingredients

  • 30ml ELLC dry vodka
  • 10ml Belvedere unfiltered
  • 20ml Patricius Tokaji Aszu
  • 3 dashes yuzu bitters 

Method

Stir for 30 seconds, then strain into a chilled glass and garnish with lemon peel.

 

 

 

 

Burnt Pear Old Fashioned // The Blues Kitchen 

blues kitchIngredients

  • Grilled pears
  • Cinnamon
  • Cloves
  • Ginger
  • Bourbon
  • Brown sugar
  • Apple liqueur
  • Anogosture bitters
  • Ice

Method 

Infuse grilled pears, cinnamon, cloves and ginger into Bourbon for seven days. Premix the bourbon with brown sugar and apple liqueur, then stir that mixture down with ice and Angostura bitters. Garnish with an orange twist and a piece of candied pear.
