    Freshness and tanginess meld in perfect harmony with the rened mellowness deriving from its long maturation on the lees. A magnicently long nish, oering hints of white pepper and dried apricots.

  4. 2011 Hattingley Valley Blanc de Blanc, Hattingley Valley

    The 2011 vintage was a stunning example of what can be achieved in England. The Chardonnay grapes were harvested between the second and third weeks of October with a good sugar:acidity ratio. The record breaking temperatures in October (up to 29°C) coupled with plenty of sunshine, contributed to exceptionally ripe fruit and some wonderful wines.
    This wine has a lovely deep gold colour with a green hue and a fine mousse. The nose has delicate white fruit that gives way to a rich toasty and honeyed charm. The palate is beautifully balanced and complex – ripe apples with a crisp yet soft acidity that is balanced by a hint of oak influence. A rich and rounded mouth-feel and long finish. It has great ageing potential.

    An elegant, svelte and super pure wine with delicate nose of hedgerow flowers, it has finesse, vibrant green fruit and a characteristic toasty flavour. Pale gold in colour and well-balanced on the palate showing crisp acidity and fine mousse. It has delicate toasty characteristics from being aged on lees whilst the gentle oak flavour adds complexity.

    Subtle and delicate in colour this is an elegant Rosé with an abundance of red fruit and fresh acidity, supported by fine toasty notes developed by ageing on lees in the bottle.

    On the nose it is elegant, with light floral aromas, peach and apple like fruit, and subtle lees notes. Despite the dosage being at the Brut level, it also has plenty of fruit flavour which along with it’s vibrant and fresh mousse makes for a fuller more jovial style.
