The dense palate begins with dark plummy fruit, cassis and subtle toasty oak, culminating in a long, finely textured finish.

  6. 2013 Dreadnought Syrah, Man O' War

    Classical in style the 2013 Dreadnought shows the lifted aromas of speck and peat typical of Man O’ War Dreadnought Syrah and showcases the riper fruit spectrum of the variety with overt blue berries and black pepper notes. The palate is elegant with supple fruit, vibrant acidity and a large presence of fine grained tannins emulating the structure of classical Northern Rhone. Stylish, finely balanced and rewarding in its youth we see the 2013 Dreadnought developing gracefully in age as the fine boned structure becomes more apparent and great complexity ensues.

  7. 2014  Bellerophon Syrah Viognier, Man O War

    The 2014 Bellerophon is classically structured with an intensely fragrant nose of violets, raspberries and white pepper. Careful management of the stem and Viognier components has resulted in a palate that is soft and elegant exhibiting flavours of ripe red berries All of which is encased by the distinctive stem tannins giving a lifted freshness and length to the finish. The wine is incredibly approachable in its youth but will age gracefully developing more savoury earthy and smoked meat characters with time.

  8. 2016 Pinot Noir, Yealands

    A bright, ruby hued wine with aromas of black cherry, violets and savoury spice on the nose. A fleshy palate with notes of plum and spice, silky tannins and a firm finish.

    Ripe berries and black cherries on the nose which transfer onto the palate with a hint of oak.
