  1. 2017 The Stump Jump White Blend, d'Arenberg

    Riesling gives the finesse and class to this wine, Sauvignon blanc adds loads of aromatics, and the Marsanne and Roussanne provide complexity, weight and nuttiness to the palate. The resulting wine is an exotic mix of citrus, stone fruits, passionfruit, guava and tinned pineapple which develops into a long savoury, nutty like finish. The mouthfeel is rich and luscious without being overly oily, kept in check by a fine line of mineral acidity.

    An incredibly intense aromatic display of
    lifted gooseberry, kaffir lime, and freshly cut
    pineapple entices you to keep your nose in
    the glass where subtle hints of crushed
    lemongrass, and just-snapped snow pea also
    start to emerge. This symphony of
    aromatics literally leaps out of the glass at
    you. The mouth-watering palate is driven by
    tropical fruit characters which dance in step
    with an extreme linear acidity that keeps all
    of those heady flavours in balance, wrapped
    tightly together on a long and fine finish.
    Enjoy this wine chilled, in its youth, with
    intensely flavoured Asian spiced dishes. Or
    simply open a bottle anytime you want to
    feel summery.

  3. 2016 The Hermit Crab Viognier/Marsanne, Originals, d'Arenberg

    The Viognier certainly takes centre stage on the nose in the guise of stone fruits, candied ginger and florals. In the background for those keen on honing their senses, Marsanne adds slightly more exotic notes of green mango, hay and almond. The palate has a lovely medium bodied weight to it, without any of that oiliness that over ripe Viognier can deliver. Precise acid throughout and a mild pithy texture on the finish ensure freshness and spice to keep the sweetness of the fruit in check.

  4. 2015 The Olive Grove Chardonnay, Originals, d'Arenberg

    The wine displays lovely peach and creamy notes, with an oyster shell minerality that runs through the palate. Full flavoured and textured but with a vibrant acidity and a long lingering finish, this wine delivers a plethora of stone fruit, blossoms and savoury notes. The oak influence is minimal allowing the true flavours of the fruit to shine.

    A fruit driven yet refreshing Chardonnay.
    Loads of stonefruit, pear drop, florals and
    tropical notes. The palate is sleak and long
    but with enough generosity to round out
    any harsh edges. A touch of spice and
    woodiness is added from the subtle use of
    old French oak, no chariness or sweet
    coconut character mind you. Clean and
    fresh and immensely slurpable.

  6. 2016 The Money Spider Roussanne, d'Arenberg

    This wine is straw yellow with a pretty
    green hue. It has aromas of citrus, pineapple
    and honeydew melon. The palate is textural
    and exotic and tastes of vibrant mango,
    papaya and green melon. Tangy acidity
    rounds out the wine beautifully and
    contributes to a long, spicy finish.

  7. 2013 The Witches Berry Chardonnay, d'Arenberg

    This is a lively, balanced wine that will drink well in its youth. Peaches and cream, lemon zest and green apple are apparent on the nose with a freshness that is expected of young Chardonnay.
    The restrained use of oak allows stone fruit and nutty characters to shine through on the palate, which is aided by the small portions of Viognier and Marsanne that have been blended into this wine.

  8. 2016 The Stump Jump Sauvignon Blanc, d'Arenberg

    A fun wine laden with tropical fruits and just a whiff of fresh cut grass on the nose. Again, tropical passionfruit and gooseberry flavours dominate the palate, with a herbal twist reminiscent of crunchy snow peas.
    Lively acid makes this wine very refreshing and delicate musk like flavours linger making this wine extremely moreish.

  9. 2013 The Lucky Lizard Chardonnay, Hillbillies, d'Arenberg

    The 2012 Lucky Lizard has vibrant nectarine and white peach on the nose with nutty and mineral citrus undertones.
    The palate begins with generous peach and stone fruit. The 25% wild fermentation becomes evident as the wine opens up to reveal a beautifully
    textured mid palate with cashew and honeysuckle, finishing with zingy lime and peel.
    The wine shows great balance and composure and will drink fantastically with or without food.

  10. 2015 The Dry Dam Riesling, d'Arenberg

    Jasmine and orange blossom, along with
    lemon and lime characters leap from the
    glass. The sugar-acid balance from this fine
    vintage is impeccable. While both are
    present, they manage to meld together
    creating a mouth-watering yet supple
    sherbet character, which finishes dry and
    mineral, not cloying in the slightest. A
    pleasure to drink right now, this wine will
    evolve elegantly for many years to come.
