Tasting Note: Aromas of black currant, black cherries and a touch of wood smoke with flavors of plums, dark berries, toasty oak and vanilla spice. On the palate, this wine has an elegant and restrained style with good structure and balance, soft tannins and a long finish.
Food Matching: Great on its own or when paired with barbecued meats such as Italian-style sausages with a rich tomato sauce.
Vineyard: Organically farmed in a Mediterranean Climate.
Vinification: Parcels of Merlot were fermented separately and underwent full malolactic fermentation before being combined to create the final blend. Aged for 12 months in 45% new oak and 55% previously used oak.
