In September, we had the pleasure of hosting the Be Inclusive Hospitality group at two of our renowned wineries: Omina Romana and Arnaldo Caprai. This enthusiastic group, eager to expand their wine knowledge, experienced an unforgettable trip that combined cultural immersion, hands-on activities, and exquisite wine tasting.
During their two-day visit, the group embraced the excitement of grape harvest season. At Omina Romana, guided by Katharina Borner, they learned the art of grape selection, carefully picking the finest Merlot bunches used in the acclaimed Diana Nemorensis I blend.
At Arnaldo Caprai, the highlight was discovering the heritage of Sagrantino di Montefalco. They explored the grape's fascinating history, from its traditional use in Montefalco Sagrantino Passito to its renowned characteristics today, including high polyphenol content and robust tannins. A unique opportunity to taste Sagrantino directly from the barrel at various aging stages offered an educational and sensory experience that deepened their appreciation for this iconic varietal.
Lorraine Copes, Board member at Be Inclusive Hospitality, said of the trip “The group found it hugely informative and beneficial. This unique experience took them to the very source – vineyards and wineries – where truly exceptional wines are produced. All suppliers provided exceptional hospitality.’’
We are proud to share this inspiring journey, celebrating inclusivity, knowledge, and the art of winemaking.
