Boheme
Primitivo, a native varietal of Puglia, in the heel of Italy's boot, is derived from the Latin Primativus meaning ‚early to ripen' - it's no surprise then that it's one of the first red grapes to be harvested in Southern Italy. Thanks to modern winemaking, this grape has been elevated from a humble quaffing wine to a delicious, jammy and moreish style, whose quality belies its price tag. A hugely popular red for casual dining lists.
