Chateau Talbot

This important estate owes its name to Constable Talbot, an English warrior defeated at the battle of Castillon in 1453. Cloaking the banks of the estuary of the Gironde, the estate vineyard extends over the famous outcrops sculpted in ancient quaternary gravels, the only conditions in which such truly fine wines come into being, in the area of St-Julien.
