Gilles Robin
Gilles took over the running of this estate in 1996. With a history of winegrowing spanning four generations, his aim was to realise the potential of the then 25-year-old vines (53 years old in 2024). Using only natural fertilisers and reduced yields, he was able to develop a richer concentration of fruit and quality. A new winery was built into the ground to allow the wines to be moved delicately by gravity. Gilles’ first vintage was so good that he won a gold medal at the Mâcon Fair, and his reputation has grown ever since, with accolades from industry heavyweights Decanter, Wine International, Robert Parker and Wine Spectator, just to name a few.
