New and Old Worlds meet at Morgenster. The estate was bought by Giulio Bertrand in 1992 and is now run by his daughter and granddaughter, Federica and Vittoria Bertrand. He held a vision of making the best Bordeaux-style wine outside France. The property’s shale soils, cool breezes and proximity to the Atlantic provide ideal growing conditions for the French varietals planted there. Only a portion of each vintage is released on launch, with the rest kept, evaluated bi-yearly and released in batches, allowing customers access to several vintages of the same wine.
