Pfaffl

R&A Pfaffl was founded in 1978 by Roman Pfaffl and his wife Adelheid. Located just north of Vienna in the Weinviertel, Austria’s premier winegrowing region, the winery was originally a working farm with less than two acres under vine. Over the years the winery has expanded and now encompasses more than 200 acres of sustainably farmed vineyards, planted with indigenous Austrian varieties including Grüner Veltliner and Zweigelt. In their short existence, not only have the Pfaffl wines been recognised for their excellence with international accolades, but the family too has been praised for helping to bring the world’s attention to Austria’s wine scene and their indigenous varieties.
