Tasting note
Pink color, bright and pale. Nose of red fruits or strawberry and redcurrant. The mouth is wide with a nice volume and a fresh finish.
Vineyard
Stony, black schist soil, with loam, nearby Maury, in the Agly Valley at 300m of altitude, at the heart of Roussillon, South of France, near the Spanish border. High Environmental Value level 3 vineyard. Sustainable, lowimpact farming, dry grown. Bush vines for the Grenache, spur prune for the Syrah.
Vinification
Hand picked, selection of the best bunches in the vineyard. Grapes are pressed directly without maceration to get a fresh and pale color. Native yeast for the alcoholic fermentation. Aged on lees for 4 months in concrete tanks. 20% of the blend is fermented and aged in demi-muids. A few barrels have done the malolactic fermentation for a better complexity.
