Tasting note
Originally created in 1920 to suit the English taste for drier wines. Bone-dry with flavours of wild strawberry, cranberry, orange peel, rose petal and toasted bread.
Viticulture
From old-vine Pinot Noir vineyards under organic conversion.
Vinification
Grapes are destemmed and only the free-run juice is used (the finest juice extracted ith no pressure). The finished wine is aged for at least 4 years on its lees before being disgorged with no dosage (added sugar).
Food Match
Ideal as an aperitif or with appetizers and fish. Try it also will grilled sausage.
