Tasting note
Ripe and rounded, with citrus and tropical fruit on the nose followed by a mouthful of apricot and pineapple, but a dry finish.
Viticulture
The Grenache Blanc and Clairette in the blend are sourced from vines planted in the 1940's.
Vinification
The wine is aged in 1/3 new barriques with lees stirring for 14 months. Between 900 and 1200 bottles made in any year. Availability is limited!
Food Match
Bombay fish steamed in banana leaves, salmon and rice wrapped in pastry with a dill sauce or pasta with caramelised onions, cabbage, and smoked ham would make a fine combination.
