Tasting note
Fruity and lively, This is a classical white Burgundy and a good entry level wine for Burgundy. The colour is golden yellow, with a greenish glint. The aromas are reminiscent of fresh grape and green almond with an elegant texture.
Viticulture
This Bourgogne white, crafted from Chardonnay grapes across Burgundy, an entry-level path to the region's great whites. The clay-limestone vineyard, with 10,000 vines/hectare and Guyot pruning, prioritizes low yields (61 hl/ha) for nuanced terroir expression. Rooted in history, Drouhin meticulously selects cuvées, ensuring a classic Burgundy experience.
Vinification
The grapes are sourced from local growers. Once received into the winery the fruit is pressed via pneumatic press. the wine is settled and clarified by "Débourbage": decanting of white wine to reduce sediment. Following this the wine is aged in Stainless-steel vats (7 to 8 months).
Food Match
This lively and fresh wine is a great match for simple dishes such as crab, prawns, spring vegetables and terrines.
