Tasting note
Dry Riesling from Pfalz in Germany, all lemon and steel, the mouthful of lemon pulp rendered more complicated and more elegant by a squeeze of lime on the finish.
Viticulture
This wine comes from the Kapellenberg vineyard which stretched over two hillsides. Hand-picked from 5-30 year old vines. The soils are sandy with gravel.
Vinification
The grapes are de-stemmed, crushed and pneumatically pressed. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks for 20 days at a temperature of 19 degrees C. The wine is then bottled after a further 6 months resting in stainless steel.
