Tasting note
A bright cherry red colour packed with red berry aromas and hint of nutmeg. The palate is full-bodied and fruity.
Vineyard
France is one of the most important wine growing nations in the world. The heart of its viticultural heritage is the concept of “Terroir”. The term describes how a grape variety expresses itself in terms of flavour, aromas and colour, when the vines are grown in ideal conditions (wellsuited soils, winds, temperatures…). The vintner’s winemaking skills also play an important role. France offers a fascinating diversity of Terroirs like no other country.
Viticulture
Conventional viticulture, HVE 3.
Vinification
This wine is made in a modern style. Part of the grapes undergo hot maceration for fruity aromas; the rest ferment traditionally in concrete tanks with pump-overs to extract color and tannins. Both parts are blended to create a fresh, easy-drinking wine, then aged on fine lees for 4 months.
