Tasting note
From one of the Beaujolais region's loveliest villages, Fleurie, this is a gloriously ripe and perfumed wine that oozes cherry, chocolate and raspberry and finishes with a spicy flourish.
Viticulture
Fleurie, a 800-hectare vineyard in its namesake region, is a renowned 'appellation,' ranking third after Brouilly and Morgon, producing around 45,000 hectolitres annually. Its unique granite-rich soil, with large crystals, nourishes the vines, allowing them to extract the essence of this delicate cru.
Vinification
Our cuvée always played a high quality selection of harvesting, strict monitoring of maturation and the modernization of the winemaking facilities which provide a traditional fermentation. Ageing in tank and bottled during the month of March.
Food Match
Pork chops within curried apple-onion sauce; blackened fish fillets steaks with tomatoes and green sauce or rack of lamb with redcurrant wine sauce.
