Tasting note
Lively rosé Champagne that exhales wild strawberry, raspberry and cherry then converts those scents into a mouthful of juicy fruit, with added peach and red berries and a light breath of menthol.
Viticulture
The Moet & Chandon Brut Rose is an esemblage of 3 varietals - Pinot Noir offering intensity, Pinot Meunier which lends roundness and Chardonnay for elegance. The blend is crafted to be consistent in a house style year after year and relies on a proportion of reserve wines to ensure this style is acheived each year by the master blenders.
Vinification
Produced using the classic Champagne method. Bottle fermentated with 21 months on its lees to develop a lovely autolytic aroma of brioche and bread well integrated with the fruit flavours. 9 grams of dosage which provides a good balance to the crisp acidity.
Food Match
Fantastic with desserts that are not too sweet, such as tarts or filo pastry. Also marries really with lobster, shrimps and some delicate fish dishes such as oven-poached salmon steaks with mustard dill sauce.
