Tasting note
An hour south of northern Rueda reveals Quintaluna's distinct terroir: pine forests and ancient vines in sandy, beach-like soils. With 60% pre-phylloxera vines, it boasts unparalleled complexity. Unlike typical tropical profiles, it presents refined notes of white flowers, stone fruit, and lively green tones.
Viticulture
Bodegas Ossian, Spain's cult white, born from Ismael Gonzalo's Nieva terroir insight. De-classified from Rueda, it thrives in sandy soils, yielding unique Verdejo minerality. Organically crafted, sourced from ancient vines, guided by Rafa Palacios and Almudena Calvo.
Vinification
Quintaluna grapes handpicked, sorted, destemmed, gently pressed. Fermentation in small stainless steel vats with native yeasts. Nine months on lees in same tanks, casks, barrels. Clarified, bottled in summer after harvest. Quintaluna: the essence of meticulous craftsmanship.
Food Match
A crisp glass perfectly pairs with shellfish, oysters or spicy dragon roll.
