Tasting note
A pale gold pioneer of the fresh, fruit-forward, English style, with a fine, persistent mousse and a bright, elegant finish. Aromas dance between crisp pear, citrus zest, and white peach, gently balanced by honeyed autolytic notes. On the palate, the Pinot varietals add depth and character to the finesse of the Chardonnay.
Viticulture
Our grapes are carefully nurtured at our home vineyard in Ditchling, Sussex, in the South Downs National Park, and from our partner vineyards across the South and East of England, on a variety of chalk, clay, gravel and sandstone soils.
Vinification
Ridgeview Bloomsbury NV blends recent vintages with reserve wines. Handpicked grapes, whole bunch pressed for the finest juice, stainless steel fermentation at 18-20°C. Malolactic conversion for select base wines, secondary bottle fermentation in cool cellars, 18-month lees ageing. Vegan and vegetarian-friendly.
