Tasting note
Appearance: Deep purplish red.
Nose: An elegant nose with outstanding mineral notes that recall graphite, intermingled with subtle hints of white pepper, charcuterie and black olives.
Palate: Balanced, with very prominent acidity accompanied by velvety tannins.
Viticulture
This year was excellent for our Elqui Valley vineyard. Unlike other Chilean regions, we had no irrigation issues, and the grapes were healthy. Despite early veraison, overcast weather delayed harvest to the usual time. The grapes, showing great potential, were transported in refrigerated trucks to Cachapoal-Andes winery.
Food Match
Roasted game animals, meats in general, corn pie, and some sweet desserts.
