Viticulture
Single vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels growing district in Hawkes Bay, NZ. The vineyard was planted in 2002. The vines are VSP trained and sustainable viticulture is practiced.
Vinification
Detail defines viticulture, winemaking. Stoned Crow Syrah harvested pre-cyclone. Fermented in small vats, slow process, post-maceration for refined tannins, balance. Basket pressed, 17 months in 33% new French oak, bottled December 2015. Crafted to perfection, the essence of dedication.
