Viticulture
Discover Leyda's cool climate gems led by winemaker Viviana Navarette. Proximity to the coast and Humboldt current shape a unique microclimate, enhancing freshness. This Syrah from El Maitén vineyards boasts Clon 174 grapes, west exposure, granite soil, and controlled yields, yielding a vibrant, balanced wine.
Vinification
Hand harvesting April 4th-8th, the last grape to be harvested in Leyda.Clusters are destemmed, crushed softly & then put in stainless steel tanks. Cold maceration for 4-5 days then ferments for 10-12 days. 35% of the wine racked into used french oak barrels wheremalolactic fermentation occurs. Fresh fruit profile enhanced by 65% stainless steel ageing.
