Tasting note
A moreish and lively German Riesling. The palate is dry, yet full-flavoured with juicy acidity. The nose exhibits a blend of spice and pineapple, the mouth a vibrant bowlful of tangerine and grapefruit.
Viticulture
The vineyard is located in the middle of Rheingau with and average age of 20 years. The vines are trellised with the Guyot sytem and the canopy management is Leitz's own structure. Sustainable farming practice is employed including leaf removal.
Vinification
Whole cluster pressing, overnight settling on skins and then temperature controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The wines is left on lees for 4 months and filtered via cross flow.
Food Match
Brilliant as an aperitif with oysters, delicious with Sashimi as well as richer, oily fish.
