Aleatico

Aleatico, a strikingly aromatic red grape, is beloved for its heady, muscat-like perfume and rich, sweet character. Predominantly grown in Tuscany, Lazio, and on the island of Elba, it produces deeply colored wines with intense floral aromas of rose petals, violets, and ripe red berries. Often vinified in a passito style, its naturally high sugar levels result in luscious dessert wines with layers of cherry, plum, and spice.
