Bobal
A hidden gem of Spain, Bobal is deeply colored and brimming with dark berries, licorice, and violets. Native to Utiel-Requena, it has long been overlooked in favor of Tempranillo but has gained recognition for its balance of structure and freshness. Naturally high in tannins and acidity, it ages well, evolving into a velvety, nuanced wine with spice and cocoa undertones. When made in a fruit-forward style, it remains juicy, vibrant, and easy-drinking. Its resilience in hot climates makes it an excellent candidate for organic viticulture. A versatile grape that delivers both power and charm, deserving of greater appreciation.
