Obaideh
A rare Lebanese white variety, Obaideh is often associated with the heritage wines of the Bekaa Valley. Traditionally blended with Merwah, it yields rich, full-bodied wines with ripe pear, melon, and floral aromas. Thought to be related to Chardonnay, it shares a similar structure, particularly when aged in oak. Some of Lebanon’s finest whites showcase Obaideh’s ability to balance opulence with acidity, offering an intriguing glimpse into the country’s ancient winemaking traditions.
