Siegerrebe
A German hybrid known for its highly aromatic nature, Siegerrebe (meaning "Victory Vine") is a cross between Gewürztraminer and Madeleine Angevine. It produces low-acid, floral wines bursting with lychee, rose petal, and ripe peach flavors, often with a touch of spice. Primarily grown in Germany, England, and Canada, it is well-suited to cool climates, where it retains its perfume while achieving good ripeness. Due to its naturally low acidity, it is best enjoyed young and fresh. Though rarely seen outside of specialist regions, Siegerrebe offers an intensely fragrant alternative to Gewürztraminer for lovers of perfumed, exotic white wines.
