Casa da Passarella
Established nearly 150 years ago by Amand d’Oliveira—a Portuguese émigré who returned from Brazil to build his dream estate—the winery has since become a benchmark for quality in the region. Today, Casa da Passarella remains celebrated for its forward-thinking yet respectful approach to winemaking, with a passionate team dedicated to preserving its legacy.
The estate is home to 200 hectares of vines, with a focus on local varieties such as Encruzado and Touriga Nacional, which star in the flagship Villa Oliveira range. Casa da Passarella champions authenticity in winemaking, producing expressive wines that reflect both the region’s granitic soils and the estate’s long-standing heritage. Careful vineyard selection, low-intervention techniques, and minimal handling in the cellar ensure that each cuvée communicates a clear sense of place.
