Château Favray
The well-established vineyards of Château Favray sit in an enviable position: south-facing, sun-filled and with a hillside location high above the Nohain river. This is quintessential Pouilly- Fumé in a fresh, open and relatively fruit-forward style, helped by the presence of heat- reflective pebbles in the limestone soil. And yet, as recently as the beginning of the 1980s, this was farmland; until its potential became obvious to Quentin David when he inherited the land, converting it to 15 hectares of some of the finest Sauvignon Blanc territory to be found anywhere.
