Tasting note
Lip-smackingly fresh, with lemon-and-lime citrus, a hint of peach and white flowers, along with a distinctive flavour of beeswax. A brilliant wine that is both easy-going and complex, all achieved at a lower alcohol level than most Californian wines.
Viticulture
This is sourced primarily from a single vineyard, the excellent Beeswax Vineyard in Arroyo Seco in Monterey County. As the name suggests this vineyard has a habit of producing wines with a distinctive savoury beeswax aroma. 10% of additional fruit comes from the Nolan Vineyard.
Vinification
This is all fermented in stainless steel at cooler temperatures to retain the irresistable natural freshness of the Picpoul grapes.
