Picpoul
A vibrant white from southern France, Picpoul is renowned for its high acidity and refreshing citrus profile. Primarily grown in the Languedoc, particularly in Picpoul de Pinet, it delivers zesty lemon, green apple, and saline minerality, making it an ideal match for seafood. Often compared to Muscadet, its crisp, dry style and lively character have earned it the nickname “lip-stinger” due to its sharp acidity. While traditionally produced in a fresh, unoaked style, some winemakers experiment with lees aging to add texture. A quintessential Mediterranean white, Picpoul is a go-to for bright, food-friendly wines.
