Tasting note
A fragrance of violet and spice and a mouthful of red fruit, including strawberries and raspberries, from this medium-bodied south Italian red.
Viticulture
Vines are planted with a cordon system on hills, in close proximity to the sea in the area of Serrara Fontana and Ischia.
Vinification
A blend of mainly Per e' Palummo, also called Piedirosso, Guarnaccia and other local varieties. The must goes through a temperature controlled fermentation in stailess steel, and maceration on the skins of four days. The wine stays in bottle for 90 days before release.
Food Match
Red meat on the grill or roasted. Also spicy cheeses.
