Vinification
From five small Barbera plots at Monforte village. The name 'Vignota' means ''small vineyard' in Piemontese dialect. Fermentation at 30° C over 7-8 days. Thereafter the wine is aged in third-fill French oak barrels for 12 months, which had previously been used for Barolo.
