Tasting note
Alluring sparkling English wine, all bready aromas of pastry and roasted nuts, with honey and a delicate spritz of lemon on the palate.
Viticulture
In 2009, vintage conditions followed the last decade's monthly temperature averages. Vines developed as anticipated, with flowering in June, véraison in August, and an early October harvest. Ideal August and September weather led to excellent grape quality, ensuring optimal ripeness at harvest.
Vinification
1086, a wine of precision, is born from harvesting and fermenting each parcel separately. Over 90 distinct parcels are nurtured to create the ultimate estate expression. Hand-selected blend from our finest estate-grown wines, aged on lees for a minimum of five years using the traditional method.
