Tasting note
An intense Portuguese wine overflowing with red fruit, freshened by pretty floral notes and a whiff of spice.
Vinification
The grapes undergo strict selection, complete destemming and slight crushing before temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. After a gentle pressing, the wine is matured for 18 months in French oak barrels.
Food Match
Flavoursome red meat dishes are ideal. Try it with rustic cut of steak, such as hanger or flank, served with a piri-piri or chimichurri sauce. It also harmonises with mushroom such as morels and porcini.
