Tasting note
Grown on bush vines for even ripening in Frankland River's unique climate. Deep ruby-purple, unusually dark for Grenache. Complex aromas: cherries, raspberries, white chocolate, vanilla, violets, cloves, and anise. Succulent black cherry, juicy blackberry on the palate, with fine, firm structure and a classy, dry finish. Enjoy now or let it age gracefully.
Viticulture
Vines are dry grown using organic principles.
Vinification
Handpicked from 18-year-old Grenache vines, sorted and crushed into open top fermenters. 20% whole bunches, wild fermentation for structure, texture, aromatic expression. 2-week skin contact, then pressed into large French oak. Aged 11 months, minimal Sulphites, no fining, minimal filtration. Crafted to let Grenache's essence shine.
Food Match
Enjoy with game meats, stews and even spicy dishes such as curry.
