The Swinney property in Frankland River was established in 1922, providing high quality fruit to many of Western Australia’s top wineries. With their heritage lying in grape growing, it was in the last decade that siblings, Matt and Janelle Swinney (fourth generation) established a boutique range of wines from the very best plots within their estate. The family’s winemaking philosophy focuses on terroir, and the wines Swinney produce represent the very best of modern Western Australian wine. They continue to push boundaries by establishing Grenache, Tempranillo and Mourvedre as bush vines, a rarity in this part of the country.
