Friulano
Once known as Tocai Friulano, this northeastern Italian white is a textural, almond-scented delight. Green apple, pear, and wild herbs give way to a subtly bitter, nutty finish—its hallmark trait. Naturally high in acidity, it balances richness with freshness, making it a favorite in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Though often overshadowed by Sauvignon Blanc in the region, Friulano remains a local favorite, offering elegance and versatility at the table, particularly with cured meats and fresh cheeses.
