The red-skinned member of the Malvasia family, Malvasia Nera produces plush, aromatic wines with ripe red fruit and floral undertones. Grown mainly in Italy’s Puglia and Tuscany, it adds softness and perfume to blends, balancing firmer, more tannic grapes. While rarely bottled alone, it shines in Negroamaro-based wines, contributing a velvety texture and subtle sweetness.
