Rob Dolan

While wine has always been a passion of Rob's, his career began as an Aussie Rules Footballer. With two premierships to his name, Rob hung up his boots and began to earn his stripes as a winemaker, first in the Hunter Valley, before moving to Yarra Ridge in the 1990s. Receiving James Halliday's ‚Newcome of the Year' Award in 2014 reinforced his ability to build relationships with the region's best growers to become a specialist in cool-climate Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Rob believes that the best wines are dependent on the best fruit and takes a ‚less is more' approach to his winemaking. Partnering with growers has also given him the flexibility to experiment with parcels of less typical varieties, like the Black Label Marsanne we have in our portfolio.
