Christian and Andrea Sauska have been crafting highly admired Hungarian wines for nearly 20 years. In the famous Tokaj region they make exceptional dry white wines from both local and international grape varieties, as well as classic sweet aszú and late harvest wines. Traditional method sparkling wines are also made under the expert eye of Régis Camus of Rare Champagne, with a dedicated new cellar being constructed in Budapest. The second winery is in Villány, near Christian's hometown in the deep south on the border with Croatia. This winery produces red and rosé wines and is home to a world-class restaurant. The family's relentless drive for quality includes practising organic viticulture (non-certified) and employing biodynamic practises in the vineyard. The Sauska family are pushing the boundaries of quality wine in Hungary, proving its potential as a prime destination for wine wine lovers.
