Region
Founded in Tortona in 1914, Cantine Volpi is still family-run, with fourth generation Carlo Volpi now at the helm. With a long winemaking history, the Tortonese hills sit at the meeting point of Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Liguria, and there is evidence of wine production as far back as 1198 with a grape press found in the local monastery. The Barbera and Cortese wines in this range are a reflection of the climate and the unique characteristics of the Tortona region, while two additions to the portfolio of the indigenous Timorasso grape herald a bright new chapter for this producer.
