Perrier-Jouët
Ever vigilant to the changing tastes of its customer, Perrier-Jouët has a remarkable history of innovation. In 1854, it became the first-ever producer of dry Champagne, and they were the first House to release ‘millésimes’ or ‘vintage’ Champagne. A few years down the track, in 1858, it was also the first House to state the ‘cru,’ or village name, and the year of the harvest on the cork, and then on the label itself by the 1860s.
