Vinho Verde
Wine from the Vinho Verde region of Portugal is known for its fresh and crisp flavor, often featuring a subtle spritz. Grown along rivers in the temperate and rainy north-west of the country, this white wine is made from native grapes such as alvarinho and loureiro, and has a distinct acidity on the palate. Vinho Verde is the largest DOC (Denominacao de Origem Controlada) of Portugal, making it one of the most popular types of wine in the country.
